It’s Back to Business at The Parkway Shopping Centre

Excitement is building at The Parkway as it prepares to have all its stores open from Monday 12th April.

The popular shopping centre was able to serve the community throughout lockdown, as many of its stores were classified as essential, including Tesco, Iceland, Greggs, Cooplands, Home Bargains, Boots and Superdrug. Some stores however were forced to remain closed from the start of the third lockdown on 5th January, including charity shops, hairdressers and travel agents.

Zoe France, Centre Manger explains; “It will be fantastic to be fully open and have all our retailers trading again and back to business as usual. Many of our independent retailers were classed as non-essential, so we’re really looking forward to welcoming back traders such as, LK Nails, CH Watch Repairs, Top Gift and The Coulby Cobbler.

“Due to the pandemic, we’ve changed the way we do some things to continue to make it safe for our shoppers. Along with enhanced cleaning, signage and PPE, our popular Wacky Wednesday craft sessions, which once ran in the centre, will now be replaced with the Parkway Craft Club. On specific dates, families can pick up a reusable cotton bag filled with craft supplies and goodies, which they can take home to make something fabulous – It’s already proving extremely popular!”

Visitors to the centre are reminded to wear face masks and maintain a two-metre distance where possible.
