At the start of October, the Parkway launched the Parkway Community Fund. This was a new initiative, offering financial support for organisations charities, schools, and community groups within the Middlesbrough area.

2020 has been a tough year for everyone and has been especially tough on community organisations that often rely on fundraisers and donations for funding. This Community Fund offered four local community groups a £250 donation to support people in our community.

The winners have all been selected by an independent judge and they are:

The Charwood Kinship Carers

Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team

Community Ventures – Middlesbrough Ltd

These four organisations all do fantastic work for the Community and are worthy winners of the Communtiy Fund. The Parkway are delighted to be able award each of them with £250 to help support their various different projects for the community.

The Management Team at the Parkway would like to thank all the organisations which entered this competition. They all do amazing work for the community and the independent judge did find it difficult to narrow it down to the winning four. However, the Parkway are also excited to reveal that because of the strength of all the entries for the Community Fund, they are looking into different ways to support these fantastic organisations who did not win the bursary of £250. More details on this will be revealed in the coming months.
